About Me

"Piano should always be FUN. (That's why they call it playing!)"

My name is LaSarah Montgomery and I love teaching kids! Music always filled my home when I was growing up. I started taking piano lessons when I was 8 years old, and then did small ensemble singing groups from age 10 all the way through college. After graduating from Multnomah University with a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Education, my husband and I moved to Mexico and worked in a church there. I began teaching my very first piano student in Mexico, and continued when we moved back to the states 22 years ago. This year will be my 25th year teaching and it is a great joy to share my love of music with others! I have also been active in playing and singing on church worship teams, and for special events in my community. I love it when I see former students and hear that they are still playing and sharing their talent with others. That makes what I do so rewarding. Every student is such a gift and I am always so happy to be a part of each of their lives. Last year I had the opportunity of being featured in the Yakima Herald in an article by Emree Weaver. I hope you enjoy it! Check out the link below.
